New years bring new and exciting changes to well-loved car models. Drivers are eager to learn about what’s different with the new 2024 F-150, which you’ll find at your local Ford dealer. Changes include a new base engine, hands-free driving technology, and a slightly redesigned exterior.

What’s New with the 2024 F-150 at Your Local Ford Dealer

A New Look

The new F-150 is still highly recognizable as the truck you’ve come to love, but it’s undergone a few minor changes that give it a fresh appearance. The grille has been tweaked slightly across the trims. Other exterior changes include new wheel designs and exterior lights. The style remains as sophisticated and eye-catching as ever while remaining visibly brawny.

A New Base Engine

The base engine for the F-150 is a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6, which was once an optional upgrade for previous models. There are three other powertrain options to choose from with the 2024 release, which include a 3.5-liter V6 and a 5-liter V8. If you opt for a hybrid setup, then expect a sturdy V6 engine under the hood alongside the electric motor.

A Hands-Free Driving Feature

The 2024 release of the F-150 joins the many Ford models that have hands-free driving technology. This technology is called BlueCruise, and it can be used on 97% of controlled-access highways across the US and Canada.

While your truck handles the driving, you can relax a little, enjoy the scenery, and remain energized. You do need to keep your eyes on the road, but your truck will alert you if your attention wavers, so you’ll have no trouble staying focused.

A Bigger Display

Once upon a time, a 12-inch display was optional on the F-150, but now it’s standard. This large display makes it easy to see maps and other useful features you’ll use while driving.

A Head-Up Display

Ford now lets you equip your F-150 with a head-up display. This display projects a variety of driving statistics onto the windshield, allowing you to monitor the road while also viewing important driving information. This works well for drivers who prefer not to look down at the dash too often. It’s also very useful if you’re navigating a tricky trail in the Tremor and can’t risk looking down at the dash even for a second.

A Pro Access Tailgate

You can now load and unload the truck bed even with the trailer hitched up to the back of the truck. If you choose to get the Pro Access Tailgate, then your truck will have a side-approach swing-outdoor on the driver’s side for easy access to the bed.
