The Escape and CR-V compact SUVs offer similar power levels at the entry-level trim, though the Escape offers more low-end torque and the CR-V gets about nine more horsepower. However, the Escape also offers a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The CR-V only offers one gasoline engine.
