1. Non-Limited-Slip 3.31 Rear Axle
This is the most major difference between the Expedition and Expedition Max models. It is offered instead of the Non-limited-slip 3.15 rear axle which comes standard on some models. The 3.31 is an option on some non-max models as well. The 3.31 axel allows the driver to tow larger loads.

It even includes an integrated trailer brake controller with a switch right next to the steering wheel.
3. Entertainment System

It includes a center console touch screen and two screens in the back seat (these are located in the back of the front seat headrests).
