The 2021 Ford Super Duty trucks are always ready for action. From the F-250 and F-350 to the F-450, every truck in the Super Duty list is great as a work truck or as a family hauler for off-road adventures. They are offered in six trims, with increasing levels of luxury and equipment as you move up the lineup. Here are some of the features that make the Super Duty the best choice.

Adaptable Utility

The 2021 Ford Super Duty trucks offer all the toughness you need thanks to their military-grade aluminum-alloy bodies and high-strength steel frames. Each is available with regular or extended-length running boards for easier access to the cab and bed. An available integrated tailgate step makes climbing in and out of the box a breeze.

For added convenience when you’ve got your hands full, consider the available remote tailgate release, which slowly lowers the tailgate to a flat position. Other niceties on these trucks include the BoxLink system for securing any cargo and LED bed lighting and mirror-mounted spotlights for lighting your path after sundown. The SuperCab and crew cab have a flat load floor and under-seat storage options.

Reliable Engine Options

Both the F-250 and F-350 use a 6.2-liter V-8 gas engine that delivers 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. In the F-250, it’s paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, while the F350 gets a 10-speed auto. For these models, you can also opt for a 7.3-liter V-8 gas engine that generates 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque.

All Ford F-450s feature a superior standard powertrain, which is a formidable turbocharged 6.7-liter V-8 diesel engine that pumps out 475 horsepower and a jaw-dropping 1,050 pound-feet of torque. This heavy-duty V-8 — optional on other models — is matched with a 10-speed transmission.

Awesome Capabilities

Ford Super Duty trucks come standard with rear-wheel drive, with optional four-wheel drive. The F-250 has a single rear-wheel (SRW) axle, while the F-350 offers the option of dual rear wheels (DRW) for added towing capability. The F-450, in contrast, has standard DRW.

Whether you’re hauling work gear or towing your boat on an adventure, the Super Duties get you where you want to be. First starters, the F-250 has a maximum payload of 4,260 and a gooseneck towing capacity of up to 22,800 pounds. The F-350 offers a best-in-class payload of up to 7,850 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 35,750 pounds. As the top-rated in the lineup, the F-450 records the highest maximum payload and towing capacities: 6,210 and 37,000 pounds, respectively.

Tremor Off-Road Package

The Tremor Off-Road Package transforms your truck into a beast ready to conquer the deep wilderness. This add-on includes a two-inch lift, higher approach angle, off-road-tuned suspension, 35-inch maximum-traction all-terrain tires, a limited-slip front differential, and locking rear differential. These features, along with a trail control system and Rock Crawl driving mode, let you tackle just about anything the trail can put in front of you.
