Ford’s first all-electric SUV, the 2021 Mustang Mach-E, is the latest vehicle to carry forward the heritage of the legendary Mustang name. The Mach-E is offered in Select, California Route 1, Premium, and First Edition. And from late summer of 2021, it’ll add GT and GT Performance Edition trim levels.

Here are four of its outstanding features.

1. Stylish Exterior

The 2021 Mach-E is an SUV. But with its coupe-like styling, long shapely hood, muscular haunches, and signature tri-bar taillights, it is unmistakably a Mustang. It features a washable 4.7 cubic-foot front trunk, or frunk, with a drain that makes it ideal for a picnic, ice, or muddy gear.

Select models come standard with LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, sequential rear turn signals, and heated power mirrors with LED turn signals and pony projection lamps. Going with the California Route 1 gets you unique black trim and wheels, a panoramic glass roof, and power-folding mirrors.

The Premium trim offers LED projector headlights and signature lighting, 19-inch wheels, and a hands-free liftgate. The GT and First Edition models each have their own unique styling details as well.

2. Power and Performance

Each Mustang Mach-E combines exhilarating performance with a long range to take your driving pleasure even further. Rear-wheel-drive models give you a longer range, while the available AWD trims compensate for that deficit with premium acceleration and handling.

Depending on the model, the Mach-E is offered with a standard or extended-range battery. The standard pack returns up to 230 miles for rear-wheel-drive models and 211 miles with AWD. With rear-wheel drive, the extended-range pack takes you up to 300 miles. In contrast, AWD models with this battery pack can travel up to 270 miles.

The Mach-E’s power output ranges from 260 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque for rear-wheel-drive Select models to 480 horsepower and 600 pound-feet for the GT. The GT Performance Edition takes it up a notch with 634 pound-feet of torque and 0-60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds.

3. State-of-the-Art Technology

Three selectable driving modes — Whisper, Engage, and Unbridled — enhance your driving experience. Each mode alters the driving dynamics and coordinates ‘engine’ sounds, dynamic graphics, and available multi-color ambient lighting.

Also, the Mach-E features the latest SYNC 4A with a large 15.5-inch vertical touch-screen interface. This system includes smartphone integration, navigation, enhanced voice recognition, a wireless charging pad, and four USB ports. Base models have six-speaker audio with satellite radio, while Premium and GT trims get a nine-speaker B&O sound system.

With Ford Pass, you can use your phone to find, lock, or unlock your car, open the windows and tailgate, and more. Further, activating the E-Latch reveals an illuminated one-touch button for door opening.

4. Driver Assist Features

The Mach-E’s standard driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, pre-collision assist with autonomous braking, lane centering, lane keep assist, evasive steering, and rear parking sensors. On the California Route 1 and up, you get active parking assistance and a 360-degree camera with split-view and a front washer.
