2020 Ford Bronco in Rochester, MN | Ford Dealership

It has been over 20 years since Ford decided to retire the Ford Bronco. Now, it is back and Bronco loyalists are eagerly awaiting its release. This is what we know so far about the 2020 Ford Bronco.

Exterior Design

Many Ford drivers are asking the same question: will the Ford Bronco resemble what it was back in 1996 when the last one rolled off the manufacturing line?  The answer is, no one knows for sure, as the design may still change before 2020. What we do know, however, is that the 2020 Ford Bronco will go into the SUV category The exterior will share some of the same designs as the Ford Bronco that we remember while also using design cues from modern times.

The boxier body is reminiscent of its heritage while the removable doors function in a way that is only done today. The entire exterior will share a platform with the next-generation Ford Ranger. Drivers will have the option to choose from either two or four removable doors, as well as a removable top for a complete wind-in-the-hair experience. One of the more recent rumors suggests that the removable top will be similar to a convertible top except that you can pull it back like a cargo cover.

Interior Design

The interior design has yet to be confirmed. However, it is likely that it will feature a similar design pattern as the exterior which includes historical designs intertwined with modern accents. It is also possible that Ford Bronco drivers will have the opportunity to take advantage of driver assistive features that were not available in the 1990s. Following Ford’s other 2019 vehicles, that means that we can expect the ability to sync to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for hands-free navigation, phone calls, and text messages.

Performance

Some drivers want to know what the Bronco will look like while others are more concerned about its performance capabilities. The Ford Bronco that we remember was capable and the 2020 one has some pretty high expectations to meet. Although performance specs are not yet confirmed, there are rumors that it will feature a turbocharged V-6 engine with a seven-speed engine and an optional hybrid.

Safety Features

Ford has yet to establish exactly which safety features will be included in the 2020 Bronco. But, Ford has advanced active and passive safety features. You can expect safety features like lane keeping assist system, blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Ford also offers the Ford MyKey program. This program, designed specifically for teen drivers will give you the confidence you need to hand the keys over to your teen driver while also entrusting that they will be safe on the road. MyKey reminds teens to use their seatbelt, turn down the radio to a safe level, and can even automatically activate all available safety features.

We may have to wait a while for more details and an actual release date. In the meantime, come by Rochester Ford today to check out our full 2019 Ford inventory.

The original mission of connecting with community groups and citizens to make Rochester a worthy cultural center has never been lost along the way.

Plummer House of the Arts

The Plummer House, originally called Quarry Hill, was built in 1924 by Dr. Henry Plummer of the Mayo Clinic. After his death in 1936, the Plummer family continued to live in the house until 1969. Built in the style of a Tudor mansion, the five story, 300-foot-long house has 49 rooms, 10 bathrooms, nine bedrooms, and five fireplaces. The furnishings in the house are all original.

When built, the estate consisted of 65 acres of which 11 acres remain, featuring formal gardens, landscaped grounds, and a bird trail. The house features many innovations that were little known at the time, such as a heated pool, the city’s first gas furnace, garage door openers, and a central vacuum system.

The grounds are open to the public from sunrise to sunset, except during private functions. Tours of the house are available each Wednesday in June, July, and August.

Mayowood Mansion

Located on the outskirts of Rochester is the Mayowood Mansion, built in 1911 by co-founder of the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Charles Mayo. The 38-room house on a 3,000-acre estate was lived in by two generations of the Mayo Family until the 1960s when it was donated to the Olmsted County Historical Society. Ownership was transferred to the Mayo Clinic in 2013.

2019 Ford Fusion in Rochester, MN

Are you searching for a fun car that is as at home in the city as it is on the highway? Meet the 2019 Ford Fusion. This family-friendly sedan is ready and waiting for you.

Regenerative Braking and Brake Coach

Slamming on your brakes is not only a dangerous practice, but it can also damage the car. To help you avoid this bad habit, Ford has introduced regenerative braking and a brake coach in the 2019 Ford Fusion. These systems are designed to help extend the life of your hybrid car and protect you from any potential injuries caused by slamming on the brakes.

The regenerative braking works by sending up to 94 percent of brake power back to the battery. This way the energy goes throughout the car.  The brake coach works with this system by guiding you through how much energy the vehicle needs. You can check your braking score every time you stop because the coach screen appears on the dashboard. It gives you a visual reminder of how you are doing and whether or not you need to change your habits.

Ford Co-Pilot 360 Navigation

There are many aspects to the Ford Co-Pilot 360 Suite. One of the most important for drivers is the navigation system. It can easily help you find your next turn or help you around a traffic issue. If you need gas or a rest stop, put in your current location and it displays the closest options for you. It can even suggest places that you may not have thought to check out depending on who is in the car.

Ford Co-Pilot 360 Safety Features

The majority of the Co-Pilot 360 suite focuses on safety features. Drivers can relax knowing their car is keeping them safe. The auto high-beam headlights adjust to the darkness around the car to ensure you have enough light for any situation. Another important feature is the blind spot monitoring system. This system alerts you when something is in your blind spot.

Pairing the blind spot system with the lane keep assist feature helps you avoid accidents. The lane keep assist gently guides the car back into the center of your lane if you drift. It works by making minor corrections in the steering. Another accident-avoidance feature is the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) feature. The AEB system continuously scans the road in front of you. If something is out of the ordinary, the car applies the brakes for you.

The standard rearview camera helps you back in and out of parking areas. You should always check the area around the car, but this gives you an extra set of eyes to alert you if someone or something is behind you. Cruise control is something a lot of drivers take advantage of daily. Ford steps it up with an adaptive cruise control system that adjusts to the pace of traffic.

If you are ready to explore a 2019 Ford Fusion in person, stop by Rochester Ford today. We will gladly show you the Fusion and answer any questions you have.
