A Tough Exterior
The 2020 F-150 Raptor has an intimidating style that makes it look capable and strong. It has a boxy profile, high ground clearance, and a prominent rectangular grille with gray Ford lettering across the front. There’s also a large silver front skid plate to protect you from off-road obstacles, LED headlights and taillights, 17-inch wheels, aluminum running boards, rear tow hooks, and manually folding power side mirrors.
You can choose three cab sizes and three bed sizes, so this truck is customizable for many tasks. Other options include LED lights for the truck bed, LED spotlights for the area around the vehicle, a tailgate step, and tailgate lift assistance to make opening and closing the bed easier. You can also add a remote tailgate release for the key fob, front tow hooks, heated side mirrors with auto-dimming and integrated turn signals, a windshield wiper de-icer, rain-sensing wipers, a moonroof, and a power sliding rear window as well. A bed divider, a spray-in bed liner, bed storage, a loading ramp, and a bed cover are also available.
Power and Plenty of Capabilities
The Raptor is capable and fun to drive in the wilderness or on the highway. It comes with off-road shocks and a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost engine that generates 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. You can control the 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and speed-sensing power steering provides additional maneuverability. When you stop in traffic, the motor shuts off automatically to prevent idling and save fuel.
The Raptor has seven driving modes: sport, normal, slippery, deep snow/sand, tow/haul, rock crawl, and Baja. Four-wheel drive is standard, and the Trail Control cruise control system can work at low speeds in rugged terrain.
An Interior With Everything You Need
The 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor’s interior is filled with convenient, versatile features to make off-road and highway driving easier. You’ll get voice recognition, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 4.2-inch screen in the dashboard, push-button start, a 110-volt power outlet, keyless entry, two 12-volt outlets, and an outdoor temperature display. The overhead console has six switches so you can add after-market accessories easily. SiriusXM satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hot spot, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and folding rear seats are also standard.
You can add dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable pedals, Ice Blue ambient lighting, a universal garage door opener, and heated and cooled front seats. You can also choose a heated steering wheel with memory settings, navigation, and 10-way power front seats.
